Four Workers Hurt In Treme House Collapse

Four construction workers are recovering from their injuries after a house they were working on collapsed.

It happened a little before 12:00 noon on Wednesday in the 1300 block of Governor Nichols Street in Treme.

One of the workers broke an arm.

The home was being elevated and renovated by the group Providence Community housing which provides homes for low to moderate income families.

In a statement the group expressed its thanks that nobody was killed in the accident.
