A Metairie man pleaded not guilty to charges he extorted a Texas A&M professor who committed suicide.

Prosecutors in Houston say 37-year-0ld Daniel Duplaisir took explicit photos of an underage female relative to lure men into an online relationship.

They say he would then go back to men like Professor James Aune and pretend to be an angry father.

Investigators say Aune once paid Duplaisir $15,000 to keep quiet.

They say in a text message Duplaisir told the professor and father of two he would show the racy online conversations to his students and family.
