Following the attack of a priest Sunday night at St Clement of Rome Church in Metairie, Archbishop Gregory Aymond said he may look at the possibility of adding security systems to churches.

Aymond singled out one technology as especially appealing.

“But also in terms of cameras.  I think, as we see on the news all the time, cameras are becoming more and more prominent,” the archbishop said while visiting a St Joseph Altar in Metairie.

Aymond said he’s spoken with the priest who was targeted.  He also called the attack, “A sad commentary on our world today.”
