New Orleans police say 39-year-old Henry Dolliole is behind bars and accused of killing a woman in the 7th Ward last Sunday.

WGNO News profiled Dolliole on Monday during a Wheel of Justice report.  Two days later, police announced his arrest.  They say he was recognized by a citizen in Harvey who made the call that led to Jefferson Parish deputies making the bust.

The NOPD says Dolliole beat 26-year-old Lauren Tanski to death inside a home in the 2000 block of Urquhart Street.

They say Dolliole was on probation until 2014 for Possession of Heroin and was previously arrested for Attempted Murder, Distribution of Crack, Armed Robbery, Attempted Armed Robbery, Simple Robbery, Possession of Crack, Marijuana and Coca Leaves, Second Degree Battery, Battery, Warrants, Domestic Violence, Stalking, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile, Theft over 500.00 and under 100.00, Disturbing the Peace, Trespassing, Open Container, Begging and Traffic Violations.

“This suspect has a lengthy rap sheet, and it’s very disturbing that our officers arrested him multiple times- including for attempted murder,” said NOPD Superintendent Ronal Serpas.

Police say Dolliole confessed to Tanski’s death.
