A driver ran off the road and into high water in the Pearl River area Tuesday morning.

His truck went into the water near Pump Slough Road off I-59 exit 5A.

The water in the area is unusually high because of the high water levels from the Pearl River.

The man got out of the truck through the window and refused medical treatment.

A tow truck was able to pull the truck out of the water.

Last Thursday another man drove into the water off I-59 near mile marker four.

He also escaped through a window and wasn’t hurt.
