The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in solving the shooting death of 71-year-old woman who was found at the nursery she owned with her husband last month.

Mary Alvarez died of a single gunshot wound to the head November 14 at the Alvarez Nursery.

The sheriff’s office Wednesday said their leads in the case have gone cold.

They’re asking anyone with information on the matter to come forward.

Detectives have not said whether they have any suspects or if a weapon thought to have been used in the killing was found.

A $2,500 reward could be given to the person who provides the right anonymous tip to Crimestoppers.
