imageChristmas arrived early for dozens of underprivileged children.

They were treated to a shopping spree courtesy of Hornets players Ryan Anderson and Jason Smith.

50 lucky recipients packed into Toys R Us on Veterans Blvd Monday night.

Each received a $100 gift card.

They were able to spend it toward anything they wanted.

The children were preselected from several agencies dedicated to improving the lives of children and families.

“It puts a smile on my face I’m like a kid at heart myself so just to give back to them, give them an opportunity to go have a Merry Christmas it brightens my day,” said Hornets Forward Jason Smith.

“We’re so blessed to what we do and we want to give back and this is a small thing and really fun,” Hornets Forward Ryan Anderson said.

The Season of Giving continues with the Hornets with two Toys for Tots give aways December 11th and 14th.

The Monty Williams Christmas Dinner is set Sunday the 23rd.
