After a sellout 2011 production, NOMA and the NOLA Project return this 2012 holiday season with an encore performance of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet inside the museum’s Great Hall. Featuring a cast of award-winning actors and musicians, Romeo and Juliet tells the classic tale of star-crossed young lovers who embark on a fatally doomed romance. The limited-seating production will utilize the beautiful Great Hall of the museum with its towering columns and sprawling marble balconies to present an exciting, interactive production unlike anything New Orleans audiences have ever seen.
Director James Bartelle helms a cast that includes A.J. Allegra, Alex Martinez Wallace, Andrew Larimer, Keith Claverie, James Yeargain, Jim Wright, Trina Beck, Kristin Witterschein, Martin Covert, Matt Standley, Morrey McElroy, Natalie Boyd, Richard Alexander Pomes, Sam Dudley, Kali Russell, Jonathan May, Natalie Rine and Ken Thompson.
