LSU says rumors linking football coach Les Miles to the vacant Arkansas job have no merit.

A tweet from Sports by Brooks said that Miles has been offered $27.5 million over 5 years to coach Arkansas. The Hogs recently released coach John L. Smith after a one year fill in stint for the fired Bobby Petrino.

Miles’ Tigers beat Arkansas 20-13 Friday in Fayetteville.

LSU assistant athletics director Michael Bonnette said that Miles is aware of the report.
Added Bonnette, “We will no comment on internet reports that have no merit.”

Miles is 5-3 in 8 years against Arkansas. LSU has won at least 10 games in 6 of Miles’ 8 seasons at LSU.
