Profiled in a previous Wheel of Justice report, 18-year-old Tevin Bolden turned himself in to St John Deputies Wednesday afternoon.

Bolden faces a murder charge in connection with the death of 29-year-old Michael Lee who was shot and killed Sunday afternoon in Garyville.

According to St John deputies and Lee’s family members, the two men were gambling on Little Hope Street when Bolden opened fire on Lee.

As many as two dozen shots may have been fired.  Some bullets also hit nearby homes, so Bolden faces a list of charges including murder.

On Little Hope Street in Garyville, a family is holding out hope for one thing.

“We need justice.  We’re crying out now for justice.  That’s all we want is justice,” said Tracey Russell as she stood near the spot where her brother was murdered Sunday night.

Russell says her brother, 29-year-old Michael Lee, was the kind of guy who kept everyone laughing.  His accused killer was no stranger to Lee or his family members.

“They knew each other all their life,” Russell said.
