Thursday night, New Orleans police announced the arrest of two suspects in the November murder of a man and his seven-month-old son.

Police say Kevin Thomas (born 8/10/90) and Isaac Pierre (born 4/16/93) were arrested during a traffic stop in the 5100 block of Franklin Avenue.

Police say they were acting on a tip and had been watching a house in the area.  They say detectives were eventually able to collect enough information to stop the car and make the arrests.

On November 13th, 25-year-old Deshawn Butler and his seven-month-old son, Deshawn Kinard, were shot and killed while riding in the back seat of a car in the 2100 block of General DeGaulle in Algiers.

Both suspects face first degree murder charges.

CaptureThe Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office tells WGNO News that 25-year-old Deshawn Butler and 7-month-old Deshawn Kinard were killed Wednesday night in a shooting on the Crescent City Connection.

The New Orleans Police Department confirms a man and a male infant are dead after being shot on the Crescent City Connection.

It happened Wednesday around 9:00p.m. on the West Bank side of the bridge.

Police say the man died on scene inside a black Honda while the infant died at the hospital.

Three lanes are closed while detectives investigate the scene.
