Keana Barnes is back in the Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women in St. Gabriel.
She escaped New Year’s Day.
Police in Los Angeles gave her a ticket for loitering.
They say they became suspicious after she gave them a fake name.
Officers then got her to admit her identity.
She’s been serving a 25-year sentence since 2004 after being convicted of manslaughter for two killings in New Orleans.

A New Orleans woman who escaped from the St Gabriel women’s prison is now on the most wanted list of the United States Marshal’s Office.
Keana Barnes escaped through a broken window on New Year’s Day.
She was serving time for manslaughter for the killings of two New Orleans men.
Barnes has been spotted in the Marrero area earlier this year.
The reward for information that leads to her arrest now stands at $25,000.

The U.S. Marshals joined the search for an escaped inmate and convicted killer.
Keana Barnes is considered armed and dangerous.
She escaped from the Louisiana Correctional Institute for women in St. Gabriel New Years Day.
Ten years ago Barnes was convicted of manslaughter for killing her boyfriend.
A year later she was accused of killing another man and stealing his car.
Her ex-husband, Clinton Lewis, says Barnes once tried to kill him in their New Orleans apartment.
He says she shot at him six times.
Barnes is believed to have shaved her head.
She has a large “K” tattooed on her left hand, a dragon tattoo on her back and two panthers tattooed on her chest.

A woman from New Orleans who was convicted of killing her boyfriend a decade ago is on the run once again.
Keana Barnes escaped from the Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women in St. Gabriel where she was serving a 25-year sentence for manslaughter.
Investigators believe Barnes is armed and dangerous and headed to New Orleans.
They say she shaved her head last week, so she looks different than she does in this picture.
There’s a $1,000 reward for information that leads to her arrest.
