For 12 days, Our Reporter “Elf”, Kenny Lopez has been going around giving random acts of kindness in the community.

Now, on his last night of giving, he shares the Christmas spirit with a family still hurting from Hurricane Isaac.  They are treated to a Three Course dinner at Criollo restaurant at the Hotel Monteleone.

Leading up to Christmas, Our Reporter Kenny Lopez has been performing random acts of giving all around New Orleans.

So far he’s given away toys, gas, flowers, compliments, and even lottery tickets.

Today, with the help of a friend, Lindsay Millet he gives away a TV to a woman from the Salvation Army.

We all go to Drive-Thrus on a regular basis, but does anyone ever surprise you by paying for your meal?

In Day Ten of our “12 Days of Giving”, Our Christmas “Elf” Reporter, Kenny Lopez  did exactly that at a Taco Bell in Metairie.

Sometimes giving is a team effort.  In today’s “12 Days of Giving”, News With A Twist’s Kenny Lopez teams up with the New Orleans Mission and Kenneth’s Salon in the Garden District to give the gift of a make-over to two Mission guests.



You’re neighbors are the ones who look out for you and your home, year round.  During the holidays, why not remember your neighbors with something simple and satisfying.

In today’s “12 days of Giving”, Kenny Lopez surprises a few of his Irish Channel neighbors.

Streetcar and Bus drivers deserve recognition.   They do so much for our city.  They help riders get home safely after a night out, and they help riders with directions.

Haydel’s Bakery got word of our “12 Days of Giving” and decided they wanted to give a Christmas king cake to a deserving person, like a bus driver.

As we countdown the days to Christmas, Reporter Kenny Lopez is on a mission to surprise people with random acts of kindness.  Today, he gives the gift of “luck”.

Here’s a holiday riddle:  What’s one thing that can make a person feel really good, but doesn’t cost a thing?

The answer is:  a compliment.Sometimes, compliments can be hard to come by.   Our Christmas Reporter, Kenny Lopez is giving them away at a Metairie post office in day 5 of our “12 Days of Giving”.

Having to spend the holidays in the hospital can sure cause the holiday blues, especially if you’re a kid.

Today, News with a Twist Reporter, Kenny Lopez hopes to add some joy to the hospital halls in our “12 Days of Giving”.
