Gunman at St. Joseph Louisiana Bank takes hostages

A gunman was holding three people hostage inside a bank in northeastern Louisiana, as law enforcement officers, negotiators and state bomb squad members take up positions outside, an official said Tuesday, August 13, 2013. The situation began at around 1 p.m. (2 p.m. ET), when a man entered Tensas State Bank’s branch in St. Joseph, LA. and took hostages, according to Tensas Parish homeland security spokeswoman Jane Metterville.
