JeffFunk_LinkedIn396x396_FINALJeff Funk is an Emmy Winning Creative Director in New Orleans.  He manages all day to day on air promotions, social and digital content activations for WGNO-TV and NOLA38, Tribune’s duopoly in New Orleans. He leads the award winning team responsible for WGNO’s heartfelt “God Bless Louisiana” campaign, a project that has garnered 3 Gold Addy & Promax Awards on the local and regional level in the last 12 months and was a 2012 National Addy Finalist.  Most recently, it was awarded the 2013 Prestige Award for “TV Promotion of the Year” by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters.  Before arriving in July 2011, Jeff spent almost his entire career with The CNN NewsGroup and the Turner Entertainment Group, both part of Turner Broadcasting System Inc. in Atlanta.

A tv moment he’d like to forget…  Starring in a low budget laxative commercial.

The most important lesson he’s learned through his work as a journalist… Always keep a camera close by.

A little known fact….  He’s a true 80′s pop culture aficionado who once shared the microphone with Rick Springfield and played guitar in an 80′s tribute band for over a decade.
