Blaire Arvin

blaireBlaire Arvin joined WGNO News in June of 2010 as a digital journalist, and she continues to freelance with us since she left in March 2011.

She’s no stranger to New Orleans. Prior to WGNO, Blaire helped launch the first season of The Sean Payton Show as a producer and reporter. Before that, she spent two years as the morning reporter at WVUE.

From the oil spill in the Gulf, to Hurricane Gustav, the city’s recovery from Hurricane Katrina, the Super Bowl and beyond, Blaire has covered many important stories in New Orleans. She received an Associated Press and Press Club award for her piece on the booming business of women egg donations.

Before moving to New Orleans, Blaire worked at KFDA in Amarillo, Texas as a weekend anchor and weekday reporter. She’s also produced at KPHO in Phoenix and KVOA and KGUN in Tucson. At one point, she even dabbled in reality TV.

An Arizona native, Blaire grew up in Chandler and is a graduate of the University of Arizona.

Blaire, her dog and two cats, are more than proud to call New Orleans home.
