Curt has been with WGNO News since its first newscast in 1996. He currently works as a reporter and anchor of WGNO News weekdays at 10:00 pm.
Curt is an Emmy Award-winning reporter who has also been named the Louisiana Associated Press Reporter of the Year three times.
When he's not working, Curt enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with his kids.

  • Fundraiser nets thousands for elementary school’s PTA

    Saturday night, parents whose kids attend Pontchartrain Elementary in Mandeville gathered for the PTA’s second annual fall gala. Every year, the event has raised thousands of dollars for the PTA. Both years, the gala was held at Beau Chene Country Club. WGNO’s Curt Sprang has served as emcee both years as well.

  • Curt helps Pelican Park celebrate 25 years

    All weekend, the folks at Pelican Park in Mandeville celebrated the park’s 25th anniversary. Events included a family festival, disc golf tournament, batting cage contest and awards ceremony. Sunday morning, WGNO News anchor Curt Sprang joined park workers and pet owners for the Mutt Strut which included a second-line, pet contests and dog obedience demonstrations.
