    Events around New Orleans mark ninth Katrina anniversary

    It’s been nine years since Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans. On the storm’s anniversary Friday, city leaders, funeral directors and others gathered at the Katrina Memorial Cemetery in Mid-City.  The cemetery is the final resting spot for nearly 100 Katrina victims whose bodies were never claimed. “These mausoleums are 99 percent full of unclaimed and unidentifiable,” said Sandra Rhodes Duncan, a funeral director who spoke at the event.     The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office announced the arrest of a Marrero woman in connection with a joint investigation into child trafficking and prostitution. The AG’s office says 38-year old Candice Caulfield of 1840 Wellington Drive was booked on charges of human trafficking, trafficking of children for sexual purposes, second degree cruelty of juveniles, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, promoting prostitution, and enticing persons into prostitution.
