    The Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office is on the hunt for a suspect wanted for robbery, rape, attempted murder and kidnapping.     Friday morning there’s going to be a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Al Copeland Memorial Stage in Lafrenire Park. It’s the Copeland family’s way of honoring the famous Popeyes founder. But what’s not going to be built at least not right away is a statue in Al’s honor.

    Today was the official groundbreaking for the Al Copeland Concert Meadows Stage at Metairie’s Lafreniere Park. Ultimately, the stage will be accompanied by a memorial garden and a statue of the late Popeyes founder. The entire project is being funded by the Copeland family and the Al Copeland Foundation for cancer research.
