  • NOPD: 1 killed, 1 wounded in Desire shooting

    New Orleans – One man is dead and another is wounded following a shooting Saturday night in the Desire neighborhood. Police were called to the 2900 block of Oliver White Avenue around 8 p.m. and found two men with gunshot wounds. EMS rushed both victims to the hospital where one died from his injuries. Police say the victim who died is in his 30’s. No further information has been released.

  • Shooting in Gentilly leaves man dead

    New Orleans – A man is dead following a shooting in Gentilly Tuesday night. Police responded to the 3000 block of Allen St. just after 8 p.m. and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds lying in a grassy area. He was later pronounced dead.   • Man accused of killing young mom after she let him into apartment gym

    INDIANAPOLIS – A man one investigator called a “predator” is accused of stabbing an Indianapolis mother to death after she let him into a downtown apartment building gym Friday, according to WXIN. Suspect Cody Weir, 25, has confessed to the fatal stabbing, according to court documents filed in the case.   • Missing 12-yr-old New Orleans girl found safe

    New Orleans – A 12-year-old girl from New Orleans who disappeared last week has been found safe. According to the FBI, Priscilla Moreci was located Sunday in a New Orleans neighborhood. Moreci was reported missing after she failed to show up to her father’s workplace after school on Oct. 12.

    New Orleans airport now providing free parking for disabled veterans

    New Orleans – Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is now providing free parking for up to 10 days for disabled veterans. The new state law requiring free parking took effect August 1 but due to the FAA approval process, the airport wasn’t able to offer free parking for disabled veterans until this past week. In order to receive free parking, veterans must complete forms in advance, which can be found on MSY’s website.

    New Orleans – Police are looking for a man who may have information about an August 2017 shooting that left one person dead and another injured in Gentilly. Allen Berry, 25, is wanted for questioning. The NOPD says that he is not considered a suspect. Two men were shot in the 2400 block of Athis St.  on August 25.
