    2 injured in accident involving school bus in Ponchatoula

    PONCHATOULA, LA (WGNO) – Ponchatoula Police are working an accident involving a school bus. Officers say the call came in around 6:20 this morning after the bus and a pickup truck collided in the 1000 block of Highway 51 North. They say there was one child on the bus at the time, but they were not injured. Police say two adults were taken to the hospital. No word yet on their conditions. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

    Police search for suspect in Gentilly

    NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The search is on in Gentilly for a man who led State Police on a chase early this morning. New Orleans Police say shots were fired after the driver bailed on Franklin Avenue near Jonquil around 5:30 this morning. Officers say they don’t believe anyone was hit. No word yet on why State Police were chasing the suspect.

    Man shot to death in Gentilly

    NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – A 26-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Gentilly. The New Orleans Police Department said early Tuesday that they found his body in a home near the corner of Sybil Street and Harcourt Drive, but they have not said when his body was discovered.
