    Police search for suspect in Gentilly

    NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The search is on in Gentilly for a man who led State Police on a chase early this morning. New Orleans Police say shots were fired after the driver bailed on Franklin Avenue near Jonquil around 5:30 this morning. Officers say they don’t believe anyone was hit. No word yet on why State Police were chasing the suspect.

    Man shot to death in Gentilly

    NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – A 26-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Gentilly. The New Orleans Police Department said early Tuesday that they found his body in a home near the corner of Sybil Street and Harcourt Drive, but they have not said when his body was discovered.     Woman arrested for stabbing her husband to death

    NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The NOPD has arrested a 32-year-old woman accused of stabbing her husband to death in Hollygrove. Katrina Tollette is facing Second Degree Murder. Police found her 42-year-old husband dead in the 9200 block of Colapissa just before 9:30 Tuesday morning. They say he had been stabbed in the chest. The victim’s name has not been released.

    Firefighters battle blaze in Central City

    NEW ORLEANS, La (WGNO) — Officials say a 2-alarm fire in Central City is now under control. The fire broke out just before 5:30 this morning at Martin Luther King Boulevard and South Liberty Street. Officials say it quickly spread through the one-story home and became a 2-alarm fire in just minutes. Firefighters were able to get it under control around 6:20. No injuries were reported. No word yet on what caused the fire.
