Iconic Covington football coach Jack Salter passes at age 86

He changed a community, and thousands of lives.

Former Covington football coach Jack Salter, who coached the Lions to 256 wins in 33 seasons, died Saturday at the age of 86.

Salter’s Lions won the 1976 class 4A championship.
