NEW ORLEANS(WGNO)-- One week out from Christmas day, and Santa Claus held office hours at Tableau, New Orleans style of course. With a jazz brunch.

"Tableau is a relatively new restaurant, so we're trying to create our own traditions" said the general manager of Tableau, Chris Esteve. "We're starting with Santa, so families don't have to go wait in lines at the mall, instead they can have a nice meal and listen to some jazz by the brass band.

Tableau is also claiming their larger than life mistletoe as their newest holiday tradition.

Just in time for the holiday festivities, Tableau has installed massive mistletoe on their balcony that over looks Jackson square. The “Kissing Corner,” located at the intersection of St. Peter St. and Chartres St. on Jackson Square, beckons folks to spread the holiday cheer through a kiss!

The huge mistletoe sculpture was designed and built by local artist, Robin Durand. Durand is a scenic artist for both museums and film, and most recently was the lead scenic artist for the WWII Museum’s “Campaigns of Courage.”
