Neville aims for three peat, Karr again stands in the way
For the 4th time in 6 seasons, Karr and Neville meet in the state 4A championship game.
Karr won 29-22 in 2012. Neville won 27-6 in 2011, and 45-26 in 2015. Karr head coach Brice Brown and Neville head coach Mickey McCarty said they thought when the playoffs started, that meeting in the Superdome, again was a real possibility.
Top seed Neville is aiming for its third consecutive state 4A football title. The Tigers are 13-0, including a 35-16 win over Division I champion Evangel.
Second seeded Karr is also 13-0. The Cougars own a 42-34 win over 5A finalist Landry Walker.
