NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Drew Brees is making several kids throughout the greater New Orleans area very happy campers Monday.

Brees announced twenty student teams from eight schools who made it to step two of the Trust Your Crazy Ideas Challenge, a challenge that teaches students how to create a practical business plan.

The winners of this first round will now go on to compete for more than $30,000 in awards.

“The challenge is about more than creating a business plan,” says Drew Brees, co-founder of The Brees Dream Foundation. “It is designed to educate, motivate and inspire students by giving them valuable communication and presentation skills that will help them in every aspect of life,” says Brees.

For the first time this year the Trust Your Crazy Ideas Challenge is going statewide.

The New Orleans area winner will compete against the winners from Baton Rouge and Shreveport during New Orleans Entrepreneurs Week.
