Terrebonne Parish man accused of raping child

GIBSON, La. (WGNO) – A Gibson man was arrested for reportedly raping a female relative who’s younger than 10.

According to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, Johnathan Bray, 26, was arrested in Scott County, Mississippi and later extradited to Terrebonne Parish, where he admitted to deputies that he had acted inappropriately with the child.

Deputies said Bray told a friend in Mississippi about the incident, and the friend reported it to authorities. The child also confirmed the rape.

Bray was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Jail on one count of first-degree rape. He is being held in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
