Update: Southwest Airlines employee shot at Will Rogers Airport dies

Update to this story from CNN:  A Southwest Airlines employee shot Tuesday at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma CIty, Oklahoma, has died, the airline said. Police earlier said the person was shot in a parking lot.

OKLAHOMA CITY – People at Will Rogers World Airport have been asked to shelter in place following a shooting in which one person was injured.

Initial reports indicate one person was shot in the parking lot at the airport around 12:50 p.m. Tuesday.

The extent of that person’s injuries is unclear at this time.

So far, there is no suspect information.

The Oklahoma City Police Department has closed the airport while they investigate.


Those inside the airport have been asked to shelter in place.

Airport officials say all arrivals and departures have been suspended until further notice.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are on scene, including OKCPD, OHP, and the FBI SWAT team.
