NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - From decor to coffee, we're showing you have to impress your guests this Thanksgiving.
WGNO headed to Gordon's in Metairie, where they showed us how to repurpose old decor into something new for the holiday season.
The first craft involved artificial (or real) fruit and leaves. Take an old Tupperware, fill it with water, and spray gold or silver Design Maters Floral Spray. When you dip the fruit or leaves, it will have a very cool metallic effect on the decor. You can do this to many different pieces to make a display! At Gordon's, they laid down a wreath for more volume, put a turkey statue in the middle and filled in the empty spaces with the metallic fruit.
For the next craft, they turned a door decoration into a centerpiece. They laid out a runner and artificial cedar branches from the door decoration, a fall branch with colorful leaves on top, and wrapped it all in a bow. Glittery fall picks and pumpkins, as well as candlesticks finished the look
