Burglars target Slidell business in drug heist

SLIDELL, LA (WGNO) -- Slidell police have surveillance photos of two people who broke into a business last week and stole at least ten kinds of drugs.  The case is the latest to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

The crime happened at the Medicine Shoppe at 999 Robert Blvd.  According to police, two men broke into the building on Thursday, Nov. 3, some time after midnight.

Detectives released some surveillance photos from the store that show the two suspect.  Both nearly covered their entire bodies to hide their identities.  Police say a third person was involved and drove a getaway car from the scene.

Sources say the burglars stole some pain medications and other drugs, and some might be valuable for sale on the street while others are worth little or nothing.
