NEW ORLEANS(WGNO)-- UberEats launched today in New Orleans, bringing your favorite restaurants to you.

The San Francisco-based company is similar to the car-hailing service already offered, but now you can order food from one of their partnered restaurants to be delivered to your doorstep.

Restaurants participating in UberEats include: The Company Burger, Ruby Slipper, and Willie Mae's Scotch house to name a few. They are among over 100 restaurants where you can place a to-go offer.

The average wait time is 35 minutes for your food, and the service fee is $4.99. This week they are offering free delivery as a part of the launch promotion.

"It's a great earning opportunity for our driving customers, and it's a great way to reach new costumers for our restaurants," Said Henry Carr of Uber. By 11:30 this morning The Company Burger already had 15 UberEats orders places. The drivers are the same drivers that pick you up and drop you off, but now their cargo is your delicious meal.
