NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Armed robbers targeted people sitting in their vehicles in three different incidents last night.

Around 8:30 p.m., a delivery driver was held up outside East Side Cash and Carry on Chef Menteur Highway, according to the NOPD.

An unidentified man armed with a gun approached the delivery man through the passenger side window, making off with over $400 in cash.

Just over two hours later, a man was sitting inside his car in the 7900 block of South Claiborne when an armed man opened the passenger door and demanded money.

The victim handed over $30 before driving off.

The third armed robbery victim was not as lucky. She was sitting inside her 2013 black Cadillac ATS around 11 p.m. when an armed man approached demanding money.

The victim handed over her car keys and cell phone, and the armed man drove away in her car, which has a California license plate with the number 7NFL472.

There were two other armed robberies involving a gun overnight. Two men were robbed at gunpoint in the 1800 block of South Robertson Street around 8 p.m., and one victim on Dublin Street was robbed just after midnight.
