NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Mayor Mitch Landrieu voted early at City Hall Thursday morning.┬áHe was joined by other early voters.

Landrieu has repeatedly voiced his support for Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton.

“If you don’t vote, you just say, ‘I don’t care — I don’t care what happens, I don’t care if you put me in prison, I don’t care if they take all of my rights.’ So at least, if it turns out bad, at least you tried. If it turns out great, you feel like I was a part of that process,” said Carl Brauner of Uptown.

“I think it’s important to vote as a woman because so many women fought for the right to vote and we haven’t even had the right for a hundred years,” said Zoe Brauner of Uptown.

“I think that every voice is important, what people don’t know is that we actually do have a say so in the way the community turns out, so if you don’t vote, how can you complain,” said Desere Chacere of Uptown.
