NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) -  It's National Dessert Day.  Forget the calories.  Indulge.

WGNO News with a Twist feature guy Wild Bill Wood remembers a Christmas past where he got a ride on a streetcar named gingerbread.

It's the creation from Christmas past from Chef Eric Damidot from New Orleans Hyatt Regency.

It's inspired by the real streetcars that roll through New Orleans.

Here's the recipe:

3,500 pounds of flour

3,000 pounds of sugar

3,000 eggs

1,000,000 (maybe) pieces of candy

Every holiday season, New Orleans Hyatt Regency creates something in the spirit that's edible.

Coming soon, something just like for Christmas 2016.
