NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Halloween is just around the corner! Our producer, Taylor Feingold, is showing us a new do it yourself costume each day this month.

WOOD you be mine? So, I'm not really a lumberjack, but I do have flannel pajamas. Does that make me a slumberjack?

Today's costume is very comfortable and easy to pull off. All you need is a flannel, ripped jeans, a warm hat, and boots! To make the look seem more realistic I added on suspenders. I've had these fake Timberland heels for a while and this is the perfect costume to wear them with. I went with a trapper hat, but a beanie works as well! A fake ax can complete the look.

Some would say the lumberjack look isn't complete without a beard, but I couldn't walk around the station all day with beard makeup on. I would use a stipple sponge dipped lightly in black makeup to make a five o'clock shadow. You can probably purchase fake beards that come with adhesive at your local party store.

Check back tomorrow to see what kind of other costume tricks I have up my sleeve. Happy Halloween!
