It is a big game in the Catholic league Saturday night at Joe Yenni, and Rummel’s quarterback Jacob Palma appears up to the challenge .

Palma, a senior starter, who waited patiently behind Chase Fourcade, has completed 39 of 56 throws for 830 yards and 11 touchdowns. Rummel head coach Jay Roth said Palma has shown patience not many quarterbacks would possess.

Last season Rummel beat Jesuit 28-14 in the regular season, and 44-14 in the playoffs.

Jesuit beat Rummel in the 2014 Division I state semifinals. The Jays then defeated John Curtis to win their first state football crown since 1960.
