NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Halloween is just around the corner! Our producer, Taylor Feingold, is showing us a new do it yourself costume each day this month.

Today’s costume is sweet as, well, fruit!

To put together this pineapple look I wore a large yellow shirt that I used as a dress, black leggings, and green construction paper. I used a sharpie to draw little pineapple spikes on the shirt so that people could tell what I was. I cut leaves out of the green construction paper and taped them together to form a pineapple leave crown! I made sure to bend down the leave a little so that they flared out like a real pineapple.  I then punched holes in the bottom of the crown and threaded a string through to tie behind my head.

Check back tomorrow to see what kind of other costume tricks I have up my sleeve. Happy Halloween!
