NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Recreation Development Commission is scheduling a ‘Thriller’ flash mob as part of its plan to provide safe Halloween activities for kids and adults in the city.

The flash mob will be on Halloween at noon in front of New Orleans City Hall at 1300 Perdido Street.

Loyola dance instructor Kynt Bryan, who is perhaps the area’s top dance instructor for the moves you see in the Michael Jackson ‘Thriller’ video, will get everyone coached-up and on the same page. In fact, he teaches a class on the ‘Thriller’ dance moves it at Loyola.

If you’d like to participate but want to show up already in top form, there’s a Youtube tutorial on the topic.  Just click on the video below and start practicing!

Or if you’re more interested getting some dance instruction from a teacher, the city is hosting 20 to 30 minute practice sessions.  Just arrive a little early for any of the city’s Movies in the Park events or stop by the Lyons Rec Center on Wednesday’s from 6:30 to 7:30 every Wednesday through October 26.
