Time Out! It’s victory Monday with a Saints win, and LSU breaks a new record

NEW ORLEANS(WGNO) - For Drew Brees, playing the  San Diego Chargers was personal. It was the star quarterback's first time back in San Diego since the Chargers cut him in 2005.

The saying, "It's not how you start, it's how you finish," couldn't be more fitting for this game. San Diego was up by 13 points with just seven minutes left in the fourth quarter. Two turnovers and touchdowns later, Saints win 35 to 34.  They now have a bye week before playing the Panthers at home at Oct. 16.

Just six days after the firing of Les Miles and his offensive coordinator, LSU set a school record for yards in an SEC game.

Darrius Guice and Darrel Williams each had three touchdowns. The team may have been without Leonard Fournette, but still managed to rush for 418 yards.

Guice had a 42-yard touchdown in the first quarter that was arguably the biggest play of the game.
