According to NOPD,  Ifunanya “Vivian” Anaekwe, 16, was last seen about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at a party at the Southern University New Orleans’ Conference Center, located at 6400 Press Drive.

Anaekwa reportedly met with two unknown males outside of the party. She had invited the males through social media.

The males were standing near a four-door black vehicle. Anaekwa’s sister told police that Anaekwe and another friend were going for a ride with the unknown males. However, the friend did not go with the group and Anaekwe left with the males.

Anaekwe’s sister said she contacted Anaekwe via cellphone asking her location, and Anaekwa responded that she was on her way back. The sister attempted to contact Anaekwa again, but the phone was turned off.

Anaekwe also had in her possession her friend’s cellphone, which was tracked to the Poydras Street area and then turned off on Oct. 2 at about midnight.

She is described as a black female standing at 6-foot, 2 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing the dress in the picture provided to police.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Third District detectives at 504-658-6030.
