Gretna man arrested for two New Orleans area bank robberies

UPDATE: The FBI on Thursday arrested Eric Mallory, 33, of Gretna, in connection with two separate bank robberies.


NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) -- The FBI is dealing with a series of recent bank robberies.  Agents aren't connecting any of the cases at this point.

But we're looking at some of the surveillance, and one of the faces could be a repeat offender.  The cases are the latest to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

On July 27, a man walked into the Capital One Bank in the 1800 block of Barataria Blvd. and robbed it.  Several  weeks later, a man walked in to the Gulf Coast Bank & Trust on Terry Parkway in Gretna and robbed it.

Take a look at what the robber is wearing in each of the photos from the banks' surveillance cameras.  He's seen wearing a long sleeve button down shirt, a fishing hat, and appeared to be talking on a cell phone.  The shoes in each of the photos also appear to be similar.
