It is another first for Drew Brees in his 11 year career with the New Orleans Saints. That is, his first game in San Diego as the opposition quarterback.

Brees played 59 games for the Chargers in 5 seasons. He was a second round pick in 2001, and left as an unrestricted free agent after the 2005 season.

Brees said he will try to get the butterflies out now, so he can focus Sunday.

Drew Brees is 2-0 against San Diego, with 7 touchdown passes in those two games. The Saints played the Chargers in New Orleans in 2012, and in London in 2008.

The Chargers have hit hard times. 2009 was the last time the Chargers won 10 games or more in a season. That was the year the Saints won the Super Bowl.
