(WGNO) World Alzheimer’s Day is aimed at raising awareness about Alzheimer’s and dementia. Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia. According to the Alzheimer’s association, more than five million people are living with the disease. Experts believe Americans living with it will quadruple to as many as 16 million by 2050. Later this fall there will be several chances for you to help raise awareness with walks happening in New Orleans, Houma, Slidell, Hammond, and Biloxi.
