Three women arrested in St. Bernard Parish for robbing, beating and pepper-spraying a woman

CHALMETTE, La. (WGNO) – Three New Orleans women have been arrested and for allegedly beating, robbing and pepper-spraying a woman and robbing her in St. Bernard Parish.

According to investigators, on the women attacked the 21-year-old victim, also from New Orleans, after being lured to a home in Violet under false pretenses.

When she arrived at the home on Angelique Drive, that’s when police say the women attacked the victim, pepper spraying her, and beating and kicking her in the head and torso.

Detectives say the suspects also stole the woman’s purse.

The victim  was treated at Tulane Hospital for her injuries and may require surgery in the future.

The three women arrested were 22-year-old Jerrell Holmes, who was already in custody in Jefferson Parish  on a charge of principal to murder after the fact; Holmes’ sister, 20-year-old Akira Holmes, and 20-year-old Trebrekiante “Breke” Wickem.
