Saints Punter Thomas Morstead stuffs backpacks for flood victims

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)-  Saints Punter Thomas Morstead spent his Labor Day weekend stuffing school supplies into 6,000 backpacks with his What You Give Will Grow Foundation.

His foundation launched the program "Team Comeback Kids" after the catastrophic flooding to help students affected by the floods in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Tomorrow, the backpacks will be delivered to students throughout East Baton Rouge Parish.  The group says 450 of those backpacks will be given to Park Forest Elementary School students who have been relocated to Eden Park Elementary.

"Team Comeback Kids" has been fortunate enough to receive help nation-wide.

School supplies can still be dropped off at any Southwest Airlines cargo terminal, where the supplies will be shipped to Louisiana for free.  The goal is to deliver 50,000 school bags to children, which amounts to more than $1 million in school supplies.  Organizers say 100 percent of the donations to "Team Comeback Kids" is going back to the community.
