Three convicts – two with violent records – escape from North La. prison

NATCHITOCHES PARISH, La. (WGNO) – Three inmates are on the loose in Louisiana after jumping the fence at a North Louisiana jail.

According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, the three inmates – 24-year-old Michael Elliot, 35-year-old Walshea Mitchell and 34-year-old Willie Ethridge – escaped from a dorm about 10:15 p.m. Sunday, then jumped over two rolls of razor wire fence.

Elliot was convicted of possession of stolen things and theft of a motor vehicle. His release date is in 2019.

Mitchell is serving another 18 years for armed robbery and attempted armed robbery.

Ethridge is serving time until 2037 after being convicted of attempted second-degree murder and two counts of armed robbery.

Two of the men were last seen wearing black sweat pants and black long-sleeved sweat shirts, while the third was last seen wearing gray sweat pants and a gray long-sleeved shirt.

All three should be considered dangerous.
