Saints release Keenan Lewis
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Keenan Lewis is no longer a New Orleans Saint.
The cornerback has been released from the team.
Lewis announced his parting with the team on an Instagram post.
He thanked his fans and said he hopes they’ll still cheer for him.
“It’s been an awesome journey,” he said. “I’m glad I had the opportunity to play for the city I grew up in and love. Thank you and see y’all soon …”
Lewis was drafted by the Saints in 2013. He grew up in New Orleans and graduated from O. Perry Walker High School. He played football for Oregon State.
