Three things you didn’t know about Luke

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - It's COOLinary month, which means lunch under $20 and dinner under $39 at over 70 great restaurants around town. Did you know these facts about Luke?

1. The building that houses Luke was once a Masonic Temple.

Constructed in 1926 as the Louisiana Masonic Temple, the building remained as the Masonic Temple until 2000 when it was purchased by The Kimpton Hotel Group. After devastation by Hurricane Katrina, it reopened as the Hilton New Orleans St. Charles Avenue, and now houses Luke.

2. Shucker Sean likes to spruce up the joint.

He spends some time each day perfecting the look of the seafood display case. Looks great, Sean!

3. Looking for headlines at lunch?
