NOPD: Man with possible mental issues missing from New Orleans East

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – A New Orleans East man with possible mental issues has been missing since a fire happened at his home Aug. 12.

According to NOPD, Terrance Washington, 51, was last seen at his home in the 6200 block of Erin Drive Aug. 12. There was a fire at his home that day.

Washington’s brother told police he went to check on him Aug. 13 and found the front door of the home open and Washington not inside.

Washington has been described as possibly suffering from undiagnosed mental issues.  He is also a diabetic and has high blood pressure and, to his brother’s knowledge, has not taken his medication.
