NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – One of our favorite festivals is coming up. It’s time once again for the Oyster Festival, which happens June 4-5 in Woldenberg Riverfront Park.
WGNO is a proud sponsor this year. Every day this week, we’ll show you a different way to make oysters.
First, we’ll start at Redfish Grill in the French Quarter, where chefs there give tourists and locals alike a taste of BBQ oysters.
Executive Chef Austin Kirzner says the oysters are first battered with a seasoned flour, then shaken down to get excess flour off before “flash-frying” them and covering them with Crystal barbecue sauce. Top if off with bleu cheese dressing, Stilton and green onions, and you’ve got yourself some BBQ oysters.
