Holiday decorations go up at Jackson Square

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - In partnership with Parks and Parkways, French Quarter Festivals, Inc. will decorate Jackson Square for the holiday season on Thursday, November 12th, 2015 at 10 a.m. (rain date is Friday, November 13th). An unveiling will take place at approximately 5:45 p.m. on November 19th during the French Market annual tree lighting ceremony.

For over a decade, French Quarter Festivals, Inc. has decorated Jackson Square to ring in the Christmas holiday and the first concert of the Christmas New Orleans Style Concert Series at St. Louis Cathedral; Dillard University Choir will perform the kick-off concert at 6:30 p.m. on November 19th.

Christmas New Orleans Style is produced by French Quarter Festivals, Inc. (, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which also produces French Quarter Festival presented by Chevron in April and Satchmo SummerFest in August.
