HAMMOND, La. (WGNO) – The front landing gear on a twin-engine Cessna collapsed when it was landing at Hammond Northshore Regional Airport Wednesday morning.

Airport officials say the incident happened around 5:45 a.m.

There were two pilots on board the plane at the time of the incident.

They were not injured, but the plane did sustain serious damage.

The NTSB will not investigate the incident because there were no injuries, but FAA investigators are en route to the airport.

One runway is currently closed. It will reopen once the plane can be removed.
